In August of 2014, The National Parliament voted 70-0 in favour of the National Youth Development Authority Act 2014, thus giving NYDA full powers in managing the national affairs of young people in the country.  

At current NYDA undergoes a transition phase in linking all levels in the country by forging working partnership churches, NGOs, International donors and other organisations committed to the development of young people. 

Our work at NYDA is to help transform and empower youths for nation building through partnership with all stakeholders in the country, which is supported by our vision which is to be the lead agency in promoting and coordinating sustainable services for young people in partnership with stakeholders throughout the country.
