Civil Registry Office is a statutory mandated entity responsible for registration of all vital events including birth, marriages and death registration including cases in separation, divorce and adoption. The office is one of the contributing entities to the government’s consolidated revenue annually through collection of fees from birth, marriage and death certificates etc.

Together with the National Statistical Office the Civil Registry Office is the custodian of the National Identity Project (NID) where population Information Management System (PIMS) is the outcome of this partnership.
